iReport Designer Plug-ins

By default, iReport Designer includes JasperReports Server and Domain plug-ins. The server plug-in enables you to move reports between iReport and JasperReports Server. The Domain plug-in enables you create reports from Domains in the server repository.

To launch iReport:

1.        In Windows, click Start > All Programs > JasperServer Pro > Start iReport; or

In Linux, change to the iReport home directory and enter ./iReport.sh at the command prompt.

iReport opens.

JasperReports Server Plug-in

The JasperReports Server plug-in requires:

   iReport Designer 4.0

   Java Sun JDK 6 or greater

   JasperReports Server with enabled web services

To launch the JasperReports Server Plug-in in iReport

1.        Launch iReport.
2. Click Window > JasperServer Repository.

A JasperReports Server pane appears in the upper left corner of the iReport workspace.

Domain Plug-in

The Domain plug-in for iReport requires:

   JasperReports Server plug-in, 4.0.

   iReport Designer 4.0

   JasperReports Professional or Enterprise 4.0
