By default, iReport Designer includes JasperReports Server and Domain plug-ins. The server plug-in enables you to move reports between iReport and JasperReports Server. The Domain plug-in enables you create reports from Domains in the server repository.
To launch iReport:
1. | In Windows, click Start > All Programs > JasperServer Pro > Start iReport; or |
In Linux, change to the iReport home directory and enter ./iReport.sh at the command prompt.
iReport opens.
The JasperReports Server plug-in requires:
• Java Sun JDK 6 or greater
• JasperReports Server with enabled web services
To launch the JasperReports Server Plug-in in iReport
1. | Launch iReport. |
2. | Click Window > JasperServer Repository. |
A JasperReports Server pane appears in the upper left corner of the iReport workspace.

The Domain plug-in for iReport requires:
• JasperReports Server plug-in, 4.0.
• iReport Designer 4.0
• JasperReports Professional or Enterprise 4.0
